Material Description

The U-shaped groove is formed by cold rolling of 1.5-2.5 mm steel strip, and there are also ordinary oil-quenched low-carbon steel (PL), pre-galvanized low-carbon steel (PG), electro-galvanized low-carbon steel (ZP), and hot-dip galvanized low-carbon steel. Steel (HG) and marine grade stainless steel (SS) are available for selection.

The U-shaped groove made of low-carbon steel is rolled from materials that meet the BS EN 10149-3 standard, and the design tensile strength is 280N/mm2 and the critical tensile strength is 370N/mm2.

The stainless steel U-shaped groove is rolled from material that meets the BS EN 10088-2 standard, numbered 1.4404 (grade 316).

KWIKSTRUT connectors are made of hot-rolled, acid-immersed and oil-immersed steel plates, or low-carbon steel strips with a grade of 1.0335 or Q235.

KWIKSTRUT nuts are processed from Q235 cold-forged steel bar or grade 070M20 steel.

Surface

Hot dip galvanized

The hot-dip galvanized layer of the U-shaped groove complies with the BS EN ISO 1461 standard (instead of BS729). The minimum average zinc coating thickness is: 55 microns (393 g/m²).

Pre-galvanized

The pre-galvanized surface complies with BS EN 10147 1992 (275 g/m²).

Galvanized

U-shaped groove nuts and bolts are all electro-galvanized parts. Comply with Fe/Zn 5c IA BS 1706:1990 or BS 3382: Part 1961 transparent passivation standard.

Special coating

Special coatings are suitable for all steel sections and connecting pieces: epoxy coating, polyester powder coating and thermoplastic polyester coating.

Specification range

U-shaped grooves are gray, continuous back punched (code T) profiles, and multi-slot assemblies. Back hole specifications: width 14 mm, length 28 mm or width 12 mm, length 25 mm, calibration center distance 50 mm.

U-shaped groove back-to-back assembly adopts edge welding or spot welding. For other methods of assembly, bar welding or spot welding can be selected according to specific conditions.

 Length

The standard length of U-shaped groove is 3 meters or 6 meters. Can provide customers with cutting services.
